ATC Ambassador FAQs

Your experience matters.
Your voice carries weight.
And your story has the power to help someone else begin a new chapter of mobility.

What do I have to do as an Ambassador?

There’s no checklist or quota. Being an ATC Ambassador simply means being open to sharing your experience as an ATC owner and, when you’re willing and available, helping others better understand what life with an ATC can look like. Your involvement can be as light or as active as you choose.

Many Ambassadors choose to share their experiences on social media by:

  • Posting photos or videos of their ATC in everyday life or on adventures
  • Tagging @ATC Mobility so we can share your content more broadly
  • Collaborating with others who support your mobility journey, such as:
  • Your mobility dealer
  • Hand control provider
  • Physical therapist or rehab center
  • Adaptive sports or community groups
  • ATC Mobility

If you ever want ideas or opportunities, our team is happy to help.

There’s no “right” format, just what feels authentic to you. Popular options include:

  • Short videos (phone-recorded is perfect)
  • Photos with a caption about your journey
  • Blog-style written stories
  • Event appearances or ride-alongs
  • One-on-one conversations with potential ATC owners

Real stories, told in your own voice, make the biggest impact.

A willingness to get involved in ways that feel natural to you, which may include:

  • Visiting with someone locally who uses a wheelchair and wants to see an ATC in person or learn about fitment
  • Bringing your ATC to a local mobility dealer for training or awareness
  • Sharing your story through video, photos, written posts, or interviews
  • Helping grow and support the ATC community

There is no obligation to do all, or any, of these. Every contribution matters, big and small. You do you.

Owning an ATC and being willing to share how it has impacted your life, your independence, your work, or your purpose. You have a unique story, one all your own. Authentic experience is what matters most, not social media following or public speaking skills.

That’s completely okay. Many Ambassadors start by simply staying connected, learning more, and getting comfortable over time. Opportunities will come up, and you can roll on in when it feels right.

From time to time, we may ask if you’re willing to help locally by:

  • Bringing your ATC to a nearby mobility dealer for an Expert Dealer training
  • Allowing technicians to see a real-world ATC setup
  • Helping ensure there’s knowledgeable service support closer to home for you and others

Participation is always optional and based on your availability and comfort level. All we’ll need to do is complete a quick agreement outlining your participation and we will of course reimburse you for your time, gas and any agreed upon lodging required.

Not expected, but always welcomed. Some Ambassadors choose to help spread the word about upcoming Expert Dealer trainings within their local networks, including:

  • Friends and fellow wheelchair users
  • Rehab centers and support groups
  • Adaptive sports or community organizations

This helps grow awareness and ensures more people have access to knowledgeable local support.

Anywhere life takes you:

  • Local events, expos, and meetups
  • Dealer open houses or training days
  • Outdoor adventures and travel
  • Everyday stops where people naturally ask questions, which we imagine happens daily!

Your ATC is often the most powerful conversation starter there is.
For the more formal events, we have a quick agreement we’ll want to complete together so we can ensure you’re reimbursed for your time, effort, and care you’ve offered our community.

Possibly, but only if you’re interested and available. As the Ambassador community grows, we may invite Ambassadors to join the ATC team at expos, community events, dealer open houses, or local gatherings. These opportunities are always optional and designed to be collaborative, supportive, and low-pressure.
Once you confirm you can attend an agreed upon event, we’ll pay your registration and arrange for any travel accommodations.

Ambassadors often play a simple but powerful role:

  • Showing their ATC in real life
  • Sharing personal experiences with attendees
  • Answering basic, real-world questions from people in wheelchairs
  • Helping others see what independence with an ATC actually looks like

You’re never expected to “sell,” just to be yourself and share honestly.

Because nothing replaces real experience. Seeing an ATC in person, hearing directly from someone who drives one, and understanding how it fits into everyday life can be life-changing for someone exploring their mobility options.

All we ask is that, together, we agree upon and complete our Agreement for Travel & Collaboration form (ATC, get it?), so we understand the details and can ensure we’re aligned on its purpose and appropriate compensation for the time, effort, and care you’re providing our community.

If you’re comfortable, you might:

  • Share information about ATC or upcoming trainings with your support groups
  • Invite ATC to attend a local meeting or event
  • Help coordinate a demo, fitting visit, or informal meet-up

Our team will support and guide you every step of the way.

Not at all. Some Ambassadors love being front-facing; others prefer one-on-one conversations or behind-the-scenes support. All styles of involvement are valuable, and you choose what fits you best.

Ambassador rewards vary and may include:

  • ATC-branded gear and swag
  • Early access to new programs or events
  • Paid registration at agreed-upon mobility events and expos
  • Recognition and featured spotlights on ATC’s website or social channels
  • Special opportunities to participate in campaigns or training events

Rewards are a thank-you, not an expectation, and are based on participation and availability.

No. There are no quotas, requirements, or minimum commitments. Being an Ambassador is about community, shared purpose, and mutual support, not obligation.
