How can I get an ATC wheelchair converted truck or SUV in my area?

Once you select the truck or SUV for you, our nationwide network will connect you with a local dealer anywhere in the US or Canada, so we can get you on your way.

Does ATC Mobility design both driver side and passenger side wheelchair conversions?

Yes – we do wheelchair conversions for both the driver side and passenger side.

How do I know my wheelchair will fit in the lift and in the truck?

Our comprehensive measuring guides for both Manual Wheelchairs and Power Wheelchairs help us confirm your measurements along with your chair, and determine which models can offer a precise fit.

Our video measurement tutorials will help ensure the correct measurements are taken. Nearly all wheelchairs will fit the 2WD models, and 4WD models may require some customization.

Is ATC Mobility affiliated with ATC Distributors in any way?

No – ATC Distributors is not affiliated with ATC Mobility in any way.  ATC Mobility severed ties a year ago to focus on our commitment to serving customers throughout every step of the wheelchair-accessible truck ownership journey.  The chart below shows that ATC Distributors sells pre-owned converted trucks and SUVs directly to end consumers – that’s it.

ATC Mobility is the only manufacturer of ATC wheelchair accessible trucks and SUVs that offers this comprehensive suite of ongoing service and support to customers.

A side-by-side comparison of services we provide clearly speaks for itself:

Does it matter if I'm in a manual or power wheelchair?

No – ATC trucks and SUVs can accommodate power and manual wheelchairs, and can also opt to keep the OEM seat if you’d like.  If you prefer to ride in your wheelchair, our comprehensive measuring guides for both Manual Wheelchairs and Power Wheelchairs help us confirm your measurements along with your chair, and determine which models can offer a precise fit.

How long is the load time for the ATC lift to transport me into the truck?

Our hydraulic lift takes approximately 15 seconds to lift the pan into the ATC truck or SUV.

Will I need a ramp to get into my ATC Mobility converted truck?

There is no need for a ramp – our innovative hydraulic system does all the heavy lifting for you. Simply back in and lock your chair to the tray, and in 15 seconds you’ll be ready to go!

Does converting a truck or SUV for a wheelchair mean less seating for my passengers?

No – in fact, the SUVs we convert maintain their three row seating, and can seat up to 8 people. The trucks we convert can also hold up to 6 people depending on the model. No other wheelchair-converted vehicles can match this level of seating capacity.

Does a converted truck or SUV cost significantly more than a converted minivan?

It depends on the model, but in some cases, the cost can be comparable between a converted truck or minivan… yet that doesn’t factor in the sheer bad assery a truck possesses or the aftermarket potential it offers. That aside, in terms of trade-in value, Kelley Blue Book indicates trucks and SUVs dominate the top of the resale value charts, and for the first time, no cars or minivans are represented in the KBB Top 10 list.

How well does a converted ATC truck or SUV hold their value in relation to a minivan?

For wheelchair trade-in value of a minivan conversion, many dealers use a standard 10% depreciation per year. Trucks and wheelchair truck conversions are engineered to run longer, and depreciate at an estimated 6.67% per year.

From the time I purchase my truck, how fast will I receive the new conversion?

Your local dealer should receive your fully converted truck or SUV in 4 to 6 weeks.

Can you help me sell my wheelchair converted truck or SUV in order to purchase a new one?

Yes – in fact, we do all the heavy lifting with an efficient way to sell your ATC. Our Consignment offer includes refurbishing and certifying your vehicle, a possible extended warranty, and inclusion in our premium inventory listings to maximize your selling potential.

What are my financing options for a wheelchair conversion with ATC Mobility?

Your local dealers will work with you to determine  the best finance options for you.

Can I get my existing truck converted for wheelchair accessibility?

Yes, as long as it is within the model years we produce. We currently convert GM 1500 pickups from 2019 to present, 2500 pickups from 2020 to present and GM Suburbans or Yukon AL from 2021 to present.

What is a recommended maintenance interval for an ATC conversion?

We recommend visual inspection of the system every 6 months.

Is there a warranty on my ATC Mobility conversion?

Yes – ATC Mobility offers a 3-year/36,000 mile warranty on all of its converted trucks and SUVs
